Tips To Attain Max Anonymity and Security
Tools > Options > Privacy > FireFox will : > Choose "Never remember History".
* Erasing Cookies
Cookies are left overs bits of your Important data e.g Paypal, Facebook, Hotmail etc Logins. Usual hackers try to steal those cookies in order to hack accounts and exploit anonymity.
In order to erase them you can use CCleaner. This tool is all in one which preforms multiple tasks. Recommended for everyday use!
* Choosing a Good VPN
When it comes to choosing a good VPN, I did say that Private VPN are more secure then free one's. Here's a good VPN for you to buy PureVPN
But there are also some best free VPN softwares that offer a perfect rate of 24/7 online anonymity. The one I personally suggest is either Hotspot Shield or CyberGhost VPN.
* Pesky Browsing Histories
Staying anonymous also means that the attacks doesn't wanna know which website you visit often so he can plan his attack next time in the form of a JAVA Applet with a fake website of the actual that you visit often. Browsing History are also the left overs of your visited site. The best thing to do is to turn of Remembering the Histories. In FireFox you can do that as follows:
* Proxy Surfing
Surfing with proxy or using a VPN is the same. They both can cloak your IP but Proxy has a advantage that you can select the proxy of a specific country lets say Russia. When the attacker gets your IP Address actually he gets the fake one not the real one.
Finding good proxies is a pain in the ass but I've got a solution.
Goto HideMyAss and get all the best and working proxies you want.
* Securing Your Wireless Network
Hackers also hack wireless networks and sniff for passwords. There are many encryption through which a open network can be protected like WEP but it's too vulnerable and easy to crack. The introduction of WPA2 - PSK etc has made it hard for hackers to crack wireless networks. I myself tried it and failed many times.
Conclusion is that use a hard encryption, Which i suggest is WPA2 - PSK
* Suitable AntiVirus/Internet Security
It's easy to find good AV programs but It's hard to select one. There are many Av's out there but they have their own advantages and disadvantages like they can overload your OS, Conflict with other software etc etc. For the past 3 years I've been using Avira AntiVirus as my default Av and it has never ever let me down. It's a simple Av with less size then other Av's like AVG, Kaspersky, Norton 360 etc. Avir, in my suggestion is one of the best Av's out there and i recommend that you install it too and see what it has to offer.
Here's the link : Avira AntiVir
* Choosing a Firewall
Firewall protects from malicious out going and in coming connections. Firewall is a essential need for anonymity as any hacker can easily connect to a PC not have a firewall. But a PC having a Firewall will always notify it's User that a certain person is trying to connect etc
The best firewall out there is the Comodo Firewall, It also offers Internet Security!
